Area Of Refuge Call System
The Americans with Disabilities Act requires designated areas of rescue be established in new and remodeled multi-story buildings with 2-way communications like Area of Refuge Call System to summons emergency assistance. Basically, a push-to-talk Call Box is located on each floor connected to a central Base station, usually on the first floor for first responders us and, when no-one is present, calls will automatically be forwarded to the Police and Fire authorities. Area of Refuge signage to the Call Box on each floor is an integral part of the system.

A typical 2-5 floor Area of Refuge system will consist of their Area of Refuge ADA100 Call Box, about $225.00 on each floor and a centrally located Area of Refuge ADM-MD Base station, about $575.00 for up to 5 Area of Refuge Call Boxes and about $975.00 for up to 30 Area of Refuge Call Boxes and about $975.00 for 30 Area of Refuge Call Boxes.
