Football fans and NFL Sunday Ticket subscribers REJOICE!!!
Beginning this season DIRECTV will be broadcasting both the NFL Game Mix and NFL Red Zone channel in beautiful crystal clear high definition. It’s not to late to get equipped for this season. Visit our Commercial DIRECTV and TV Installation page or our Residential DIRECTV High Definition page for more information and immediate installation.
That’s not all.
Stuck at work infront of the computer on game day? DIRECTV has upgraded their SuperCast service so you can watch NFL games live from your computer with their FREE software (SlingBox no longer required). There’s even a new “mini-mode” for stealth football watching operations.
Cheers!

While GameMix appears to be in HD (how can you tell with images that small) Red Zone Channel is rather clearly in standard def, taking up just 2/3 or so of the screen and not particularly clear. It says HD right on the screen but it’s not in HD. All the other Sunday Ticket channels are, though.

You’re right. DIRECTV should allow customers to customize how many games are shown on the Game Mix channel. However, I don’t know if you’ve had Game Mix in the past, but the new HD Game Mix channel is significantly improved.
On my set up, all the games on the Red Zone channel are in HD. If you are not getting them in HD I would suggest calling DIRECTV customer support, 1-800-531-5000.
